The Grande Wine Country Holiday Tour of Homes – Soroptimist

Working with the fabulous and lovely Leslie is always enjoyable and an honor. When she reached out to me for a little assistance decorating her beautiful home for the Grande Wine Country Holiday Tour of Homes, which raises money for Soroptimist, I was thrilled. It all began with puffs and puffs of tulle and garland last year.

Also a beautiful lighted garland wraps the stair balustrade. This year we added more bling with glittery poinsettias and iridescent drop ornaments. From the stunning entrance your eyes are drawn to the grand, fifteen foot tree dripping with glitter and gold.25498132_718015355069548_30156911659331520_n

Another lovely wreath was made to top the archway between the formal sitting and dining room.
The Crown Room is what Leslie called “my signature room”. Rich red, purple, bronze and lime greens are incorporated into each arrangement.
The Jungle Room was full of fun prints and majestic animals in rich, warm hues.
A simple, elegant bouquet of magnolias topped the casual dinning table.

A Cozy Christmas Evening By The Fire

One of downtown McMinnville’s best tasting rooms is the Pinot Vista Tasting Lounge on the corner of 3rd and Evans. The setting is relaxed and you can often find me tucked in a corner with a book and glass of wine at hand. So when Rich was looking for some Christmas decor inspiration I was more than happy to be a part of it. As this year, Eolla Hills was releasing their first line of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir Method Champagne, I wanted it to be the focal point. Hence my theme was born! We brought in a tiny fireplace…25395257_719396584931425_1991010843_n
…surrounded it with wrapped packages, two glasses, an ice bucket, and bubbles!
The simple gold and red tree, with the best tree topper ever, was piled with a vintage sled and wrapped packages. A beautiful vintage turntable also continued the cozy fireside theme.
In order to bring some of the ambiance out into the tasting room, I brought in sparkly gold votive candles to set on each table.

A Trendy, Retro Christmas
